BOOK OF PHOTO PROJECT IN CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA
Ekasi is the most commonly used word for township or “hood” in the Xhosa language. With this book, we want to reveal the lifestyles of those people staying in the Cape Town townships. A lot of what people think they know about township life is frightening or sad. It’s true that violence and crime are problems on the Cape Flats, but that’s not the whole story.
